The National Park Service offers monthly full moon/sunset walks at the Point Bonita Lighthouse in the Marin Headlands north of San Francisco. The tour is limited to 50 people and fills up quickly, so make your reservations early if you' like to go. I took this shot of the tower from a distance at sunset, the window facing the sun reflects a golden light. This lighthouse like most other use a so called Fresnel lens to make a strong light beam pointing in one direction. A Fresnel lens can be made much thinner than a comparable conventional lens. I processed a balanced and a paintery HDR photos from a RAW exposure, merged them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate your critical feedback. -- ƒ/6.3, 450 mm, 1/80 sec, ISO 100, Sony A6000, Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3, HDR, 1 RAW exposure, _DSC5374_hdr1bal1pai1f.jpg -- CC BY-NC-SA 4.0, © Peter Thoeny, Quality HDR Photography
