Photos of Filoli

Pink delight by PeterThoeny

Thank you for visiting - ❤ with gratitude! Fave if you like it, add comments below, order beautiful HDR prints at qualityHDR.com. We went to Filoli, a country house set in 16 acres of beautiful flower gardens, located in Woodside, California, It was built between 1915 and 1917 for William Bowers Bourn II, owner of one of California's richest gold mines, and president of Spring Valley Water Company, supplying San Francisco's water. There are a number of weeping cherry trees (botanical name Prunus subhirtella) with pink flowers. Underneath one of them is a beautiful flower garden with pink tulips and tiny blue flowers - a delight for the eyes. I chose paintery HDR for this scene. I processed a paintery, a smooth and a soft HDR photo from three bracketed RAW exposures, merged them selectively using the soft HDR version for the sky, and carefully adjusted the color balance and pulled the curves. -- © Peter Thoeny, CC BY-NC-SA 4.0, HDR, 1 RAW exposure, NEX-6, _DSC2531_2_3_hdr3pai5smo1sof3e
